A quick and easy way to refresh your bathroom is to install a new bathroom faucet. While you might think you need a plumber to accomplish this task, it is actually a very simple process that should take you about an hour. You can purchase a new faucet for as little as $50 to $200 and up for a designer model. Since you will be saving a lot of money by doing it yourself, you might have a little extra in your budget to get the faucet you really want!
So many fixtures today are easy-install models with mostly pre-assembled parts. We highly recommend you go with this type of faucet. ‘Easy-install’ (also sometimes labeled as ‘no-tools’ or ‘pre-assembled’) essentially means you are, in the simplest of terms, pulling out your old faucet and sticking in a new one. There are a few tools involved, and the installation is a breeze.
The whole installation should take you about an hour, and the DIY savings is significant. The average cost to hire a plumber to install a new faucet is about $200-$250. We highly recommend you do-it-yourself, and then, in addition to saving money, you will have the satisfaction of knowing, every time you use your new faucet, YOU did it!
