How is your life’s garden blooming? Are you feeling hopeful, positive, happy, and alive? Or, are you working your way out of a challenging situation or relationship and ready to begin to blossom in new directions, but you’re just not quite there yet?
When I go through challenges in life I often take a moment and remind myself, “Sometimes you have to go through a storm to see a rainbow.” I’ve also come to know this too will pass… indeed. I try not to forget I really do own and control my personal power. The last thing I want to do is give it away, especially to someone that doesn’t genuinely care about me!
You know something I’ve come to embrace, and now live, is the Maya Angelou quote, “When people show you who they are, believe them.” I’ve come to realize this isn’t a mean thing to do actually; it is in fact a smart thing to do.
What is meant by this quote is don’t make excuses for other people’s bad behavior and realize, sooner rather than later, your life is better without negative people or people who don’t treat you well in it.
It took me a while to fully understand this. But now I let go of people in my life much easier than I used to when it is warranted and appropriate. And, I do this without anger, harsh judgments, or resentment. I release them with love and forgiveness in my heart.
I’ve come to believe weeds are in our life’s garden for the learning lesson, but it’s OK to learn the lesson, pluck the weeds out by the root, and move on. You really do teach people how to treat you by only accepting behavior from others that comes from a place of goodness.
I don’t expect anyone to be perfect, for heaven knows I’m not perfect. Yet, we can all set reasonable boundaries in our life.
It’s important to believe in yourself and know you can accomplish anything you are inspired to do. In addition, it’s vital to keep people around you who support you and believe in you too.
I feel like I’m busting out these days with creative energy. I’ve had insights come to me at all hours of the day and night it seems. I’m ready to update a few things in my direction and to start a few art projects I’ve had in my mind’s eye.
I feel like my world is full of brilliant color as we move into May. I see my life’s garden getting ready for full bloom! I’m full of energy and inspiration to seek out creative opportunities big and small.
What beauty are you ready to create in your life garden? Happy May!
